Tiffani Martin - Detroit Metro Airport - Presidential Leadership Award Winner
Extremely organized and driven, Tiffani has been a key leader in the Detroit location in many areas of our administrative and operational duties. She works with every associate resolving and coordinating benefits, workers compensation, hiring and recruiting.
In 2011, Tiffani was contacted by the Paradies Support Center in Atlanta to assist in a time sensitive project converting our existing operation to a new payroll process, involving over changing over 100 internal associate numbers. Tiffani volunteered to convert everyone, and began keying in information for each associate. Before the deadline, Tiffani changed all associate numbers (in two systems, no less) and communicated the change to each associate, clearing up any confusion that may arise through the transition.
Tiffani has been instrumental in keeping the location involved in servicing the community, and this past year she has been involved in two programs that have helped keep the location involved in community efforts. As the Gleaners Food Bank coordinator, she arranges for teams of associates and managers to volunteer to help feed those who are less fortunate. Her efforts have resulted in 12 projects with more to follow.
Tiffani additionally organized projects with Focus Hope, a local organization that assists unemployed workers with job training to expand their skills. Tiffani created a training manual that assisted the Focus Hope coordinators in understanding our customer service focus and the skills needed to work in our location. Since the inception of the program in May 2011, the Detroit location has hired 13 associates from Focus Hope, with a continued effort to partner together to bring successful qualified candidates to our company.
